Yes, I'll be one of the vanguard teams, maybe the primary vanguard team. Felwinter and I can both cover a lot of distance without being impeded by the difficult terrain. But I've been hanging back more to make sure that the waystations are covered and that the route is being safely established.

Essentially, cursed energy users can see curses, which are created from the cursed energy generated from ordinary humans, and wield cursed energy. Jujutsu is the primary technique we use to control and channel that energy in techniques, so users are commonly called jujutsu sorcerers.
See, ordinary humans generate cursed energy out of negative emotions. Hate, jealousy, all of that. And it builds up--someone with a lot of guilt might find themselves weighed down by the burden of their own misery until it solidifies into an actual thing. We call that a curse. Little ones might just stay with the person who created them, like that, but if a group of people fear or hate something, then a large curse can be created by their hate. And curses can feed on other curses, becoming more powerful ...
Sorcerers can use and channel our own cursed energy or sometimes the cursed energy in other things. Sorcerer society is mostly built in order to destroy the curses that develop so that they're kept under control.

And you teach your students how to handle those? That seems dangerous, then. How are you able to keep everything under control? Is it difficult for them? What if they're ... not feeling particularly negative?

Being able to regulate one's own cursed energy output under any emotional conditions is one of the first things that my students learn. Sorcerers cycle all their own cursed energy so that it just gets stored in reserves until we need to use it for our abilities.
A large negative mass creates some deeply horrifying monsters. My students and other active jujutsu sorcerers fight those things. The really big ones, which are called 'special grade', those are the ones that I fight. I am by far the most powerful of all the jujutsu sorcerers.
